CCDM - DEVELOPMENTAL MATHEMATICS

The following courses are offered at the branch campuses only.

CCDM 100 N. Mathematics Preparation for College Success 1-4 cr.
Mathematics skills course designed for college students with math skills insufficient for success in CCDM 103N. May be repeated for a maximum of 4 credits. RR applicable.
CCDM 103 N. Pre-Algebra 4 cr. (3+2P)
Fundamental mathematics operations and arithmetic computations. Introduction to algebra and applied geometry. Provides laboratory and individualized instruction. RR applicable.
CCDM 104 N. Applied Math I 4 cr. (3+2P)
Fundamental mathematics concepts and computational skills necessary for technical trades. Use of calculators, computers and measuring tools. A hands-on course with laboratory learning. RR applicable.
CCDM 112 N. Developmental Algebra I 4 cr. (3+2P)
Fundamental algebra operations, variable expressions, solving linear equations, applications of linear equations, polynomials and factoring. Provides laboratory and individualized instruction. Prerequisite: grade of C or better in CCDM 103N or equivalent. RR applicable.
CCDM 113 N. Developmental Algebra II 4 cr. (3+2P)
Continuation of CCDM 112N. Completion of CCDM 113N meets basic skills requirement. Prerequisite: grade of C or better in CCDM 112N or consent of instructor. RR applicable.
CCDM 114 N. Algebra Skills 4 cr. (3+2P)
Fundamental algebra operations: algebraic expressions, solving linear equations, factoring, radicals, exponents. Provides laboratory and individualized instruction. Prerequisite: C or better in CCDM 103N. RR applicable.
CCDM 116 N. Geometry Principles 4 cr. (3+2P)
Points, lines and angles; perpendicularity and right angles; parallel lines; triangle sum; similarity; right triangles; circles; quadrilaterals; perimeter and area; and volume of regular and composite figures. Prerequisite: high school algebra I, ACT math score with 16.
CCDM 117 N. Intermediate Algebra I 3 cr.
Real numbers, linear equations, functions, inequalities, absolute value equations, systems of equations, exponents and scientific notation, polynomials and polynomial functions, rational expressions. Graded S/U. A student who completes CCDM 117N with a grade of S must then continue with a designated section of MATH 120. Prerequisite: student must be qualified for MATH 120.
